Celebrate National Cheese Pizza Day

Washington, D.C. – September 5, 2017 – Today members of the American Pizza Community (APC) are celebrating National Cheese Pizza Day with donations, special savings, and other activities as a way to salute the love of pizza!  Pizza operators are honoring the day in different ways from donating cheese pizzas to community-based charities to offering savings on cheese pizza orders throughout the day.

National Cheese Pizza Day is an opportunity for pizza operators and families to unite around their love of pizza.  Pizza is often the go-to meal for busy families particularly after a long holiday weekend of travel, and the commemorative day gives APC members a chance to say thank you to pizza fans everywhere.

According to the pizza industry, 37 percent of all pizza orders include a cheese pizza and more than 3 billion pizzas are sold each year.
